Permanent Makeup FAQ

Does permanent makeup hurt?+
A topical numbing cream keeps you comfortable; most clients feel only mild scratching or tingling.
How long does it last?+
Brows last 1–3 years, lip blush 2–4 years, and eyeliner 1–3 years, depending on skin type, sun exposure and skincare.
What is the healing process like?+
About 7–14 days. Color is bold at first, then softens 30–50%. Light flaking is normal — don't pick, and follow aftercare.
Will I need a touch-up?+
A perfecting session 6–8 weeks after your first visit is recommended, then an annual touch-up keeps results fresh.
Who is not a good candidate?+
Those pregnant or breastfeeding, or with certain skin conditions or medications, may need to wait or get doctor's clearance.
How do I prepare?+
Avoid blood thinners, alcohol and excess caffeine for 24 hours (check with your physician), and pause retinol near the area.
How long is an appointment?+
Plan for 2–3 hours including consultation, custom mapping, the procedure and aftercare guidance.
Can you fix old or faded work?+
Often yes — correction and color-correction depend on the existing work. Send a photo or book a consultation for an assessment.
What does it cost?+
New permanent makeup clients start with a complimentary consultation, where Ashley gives you exact pricing for your service and goals. Touch-ups start at $250 and corrections from $350.
