Thinking about permanent makeup but a little nervous? That’s completely normal. Here’s exactly how your visit goes, what it feels like, and how it heals — start to finish.

Ashley has spent 15 years perfecting permanent makeup. Every appointment is unhurried and fully consultative — you approve your shape and color before anything is permanent, and you’re comfortable the whole way through.
Step by step
We start by talking through your goals, skin type, and the look you want. Ashley measures and draws your shape by hand — and nothing begins until you love it in the mirror.
A topical numbing cream is applied so you stay comfortable throughout. Most clients are surprised how relaxed the session feels.
Together you choose the pigment shade that flatters your skin tone and hair, and you approve the final shape and color before any pigment goes in.
Ashley applies pigment with precise, gentle technique. Brows take roughly 2–3 hours including all the prep — your face is never rushed.
You leave with clear written aftercare and Ashley’s number. Following it closely is what protects your result while it heals.
Color looks bold for a few days, then softens as the skin heals over about 1–2 weeks. Light flaking is normal — don’t pick at it.
About 6–8 weeks later, a perfecting session fine-tunes shape and color once everything has settled. An annual touch-up keeps it looking fresh.
“Does it hurt?”
A topical numbing cream is applied before and during your session, so most clients feel only a light scratching or tingling. There’s no need to power through anything — if you ever want a break, you take one. Plenty of clients are calm enough to relax or fall asleep.
Healing
Everyone heals a little differently — this is the typical rhythm. Ashley gives you personalized aftercare for your skin and service.
Color looks dark, bold, and a little firm. Mild tenderness or slight swelling can happen and settles quickly.
The area may feel tight and begin to flake lightly. This is normal — let it shed on its own and never pick or scratch.
Flaking finishes and the color can look surprisingly light or patchy. Don’t panic — this is the normal “ghosting” stage.
Color resurfaces and softens to its true, natural tone as the skin fully heals.
Your perfecting session refines anything that needs it, now that the final result has shown up.
